Kingdom Handovers 200,000 Sinopharm Vaccine to Vietnam

Svay Rieng: The Secretary of State at the Ministry of Health and Chairwoman of the Ad-hoc Commission for COVID-19 Vaccination, Dr. Or Vandine was designated by the Prime Minister to be his representative to hand over the 200,000 doses of Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine to Vietnam to contribute to the fight against coronavirus.

The handover ceremony was held on Friday morning at Bavet-Mok Bai border in Svay Rieng province. The health secretary says the decision to provide vaccines to the Vietnamese government is a demonstration of the prime minister’s humanitarian and charitable contribution to the health and well-being of the people of the two countries living along the border.

Vietnam is the second country that has received vaccine donations from Cambodia after Laos which was given 200,000 doses of Sinovac last September.
